What additional skills/courses/designations must I have to qualify for this position?

Now click on the ‘all examples’ link. Explore other related-titles, that if, for whatever reason, you are not having
success finding your ‘dream job’ will land you a job in your field or better yet, open up more titles to create in your
Job search so you can apply for more titles in your field.
Note: on the left hand side how many vacancies exist by City.
Set Your Personalized Job Alert by code #, include your ideal geographic area to work and have the computer notify you of any opportunities that exist and come available AT THE TIME.
Below is a list of categories below with their recommended codes to get you started. However, it is important to note that many jobs may not be listed exactly as shown. For example, one Candidate was searching the database for the title 'Immigration Consultant' for 4 years. She learned upon an interview with the Senior Manager at the Immigration Office that the job is called 'Case Processing Agent'. Can you see why she had missed working in her dream field all these years? Do not let this happen to you. Also, we recommend you speak to your Professors/Faculty Advisors to find out about jobs they are aware of in your field of study that may not be advertised.
WE RECOMMEND YOU DO NOT RUSH THIS IMPORTANT CAREER RESEARCH PHASE. Staff at Marie C. Rizzo Consulting are there to help you with setting up research meetings with potential employers. You're not in this alone! In your research, do not exclude other departments that you may not have even thought of. For example; a Junior Marketing Researcher can transfer their skills to other departments, a Communication Studies graduate can work in a Public Relations position in subject-specific departments but also a Multi Media role, etc. So try to broaden your scope as much as possible at this phase, and zero in much later. Also, if it's a specific company you wish to work for, you may be happy taking on an entry-level position with the intent of growing with experience once your foot is in the door. In this case, you wish to review Glassdoor to review what others are saying about this company to learn more about the culture, managers, departments, salaries, and overall ratings. Finally, temp agencies/internships/volunteer work (either paid or through BOOST) is highly recommended. You'd be surprised once you're there and people get to know you and your work ethic, how many opportunities may be available to you.
