HOW B.O.O.S.T. BENEFITS TEACHERS

Example 1:  Retired Teacher A tutors active beginning teacher  for  days (Calculation:  Senior teacher valued at current market value of $84,000/year for an average of one week's tutoring)

  1. As a result of this barter, B.O.O.S.T.© databank receives a deposit of $5000 barter dollars 

  2. Active Teacher B's account is debited by $3,000

  3. Retired teacher may, as a result of tutoring, withdraw goods or services from the databank worth $7000 ($2000 initial Bartering $$$ offered + $5,000 in services rendered)

       Note: a free $2000 barter credit is allocated to first time users 

Retired Teacher (+$5000 + $2000 first barter exchange - tutoring) = +$7000

Active Teacher (- $5000 barter dollars 

+ $2000 minus (first barter credit),

$5000 services received = - $3000)


Example 2:  A couple of months down the road, Active Teacher B acquires art work at an auction valued at $4500 - she wishes to deposit the artwork into the database  to reduce her negative balance

  1. Her account balance is now +$l500 balance (-$5000 received in Tutoring minus $2000 free barter dollars minus $4500 donated in art work).

+ $2500

 ($7000 -  $4500 in art work)

Active Teacher (+$4500 barter dollars art work)
